A seasoned artist, entrepreneur, Web3 native, and veteran of the NFT space, Aleksandra will lead art projects across the Tezos ecosystem.

We’re proud to announce Aleksandra Artamonovskaja as our new Head of Arts, effective April 15th. With a dynamic background at the intersection of arts and technology, Aleksandra brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the Trilitech team and the wider Tezos ecosystem.

Aleksandra has been deeply involved in blockchain and Web3 art as a native user. Drawing from her experience across many verticals in the ecosystem, she brings in a unique perspective to the platform side, driving innovation and creating new opportunities for artists on the Tezos blockchain.

Tezos is home to some of the most prominent artists working with technology and I couldn't be more honoured to be stepping into the role of Head of Arts. We live in a time when fleeting trends often overshadow enduring quality. I'm excited to amplify and expand the depth and richness of Tezos' art community and solidify its position at the forefront of the artist-centric narrative in the blockchain space.”

As he passes the art baton onto the new joiner, interim head of arts Sunil Singhvi welcomes the artist and has high hopes for what’s to come:

“Innovation, collaboration and inspiration are the lifeblood of the space, so I am thrilled that we have Aleksandra with her deep knowledge and passion joining the team based here at Trilitech to help support the existing Tezos community and lead the charge as to what comes next. We can’t wait to see what fresh ideas Aleksandra comes up with.”

Art is in her (last) name

Aleksandra holds a master's degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art and has gained extensive experience in both the traditional and on-chain art world.

Her passion for digital art was born from overseeing strategic partnerships at .ART, which powered projects such as Rhizome's seven on seven in 2017, CADAF's digital art fair the same year, and Ars Electronica's digital pavilion in 2020 and 2021.

In 2020, she co-founded Electric Artefacts, a platform and advisory for digital art and blockchain projects, which published the guide to collecting on hic et nunc and released Mike Tyka's pioneering Portraits of Imaginary People collection on Tezos.

Aleksandra has been actively involved in NFTs for good initiatives, raising money for selected charities and advocating blockchain's benefits for artists' sovereignty.

She has also been minting her own art since 2020. Her series Web3 People Portraits has recently been exhibited in the digital sector of Paris Photo fair, and early Trash Art at the L'Avant Galerie for #TRASHART: NFT GARBOLOGY, 2022 alongside other prominent artists.

Tezos: a home for digital arts

Tezos has gained global acclaim as the platform of choice for artists and institutions looking to mint NFTs sustainably and responsibly. The Tezos ecosystem is a vibrant hub for arts and culture, offering a range of tools and platforms to support creators and collectors alike.

With arts & culture partners across the globe, the Tezos NFT art community is home to a diverse, international network of artists, collectors and builders exploring NFTs as a new medium for creative expression.

Since its beginnings with hic et nunc, Tezos Art has become one of Web3’s most creative communities with an artist-first approach that continues to bring fresh artistic ideas and concepts into the world on a daily basis.

Artists from all over the world have chosen Tezos to take their first steps into a new world of creativity and community with platforms like objkt and fx(hash) helping them find buyers, collectors and fans.
